Update to the Azure PCI-DSS Blueprint

Wow, the PCI DSS blueprints been out for almost 2 months! Time for an update. Our friends in the App Services team recently released a new version of ASE.  and we incorporated it into the blueprint.

As of now the Azure PCI DSS blueprint is built with ASE v2. Here's what ASE v2 App Service environment introduced.


Here are the newest features.

  1. Faster deployment 
  2. Offers a more effective pricing model
  3. Built in flow management, no need to build your own worker pools anymore
  4. It has 100 workers over the 50 in V1
  5. Twice the memory, and much bigger size for the workers

Last month I wrote an article on key things to consider when protecting high valued assets or sensitive data. Why is privileged access important?

Last year about this time I had published updates to the Azure Secure Workstation that was originally released two years ago. And This month the solution has been considerably rewritten and revised to provide a better more complete management for privileged access!  Collaborating with two great security experts James Noyce, and Mark Simos The content got a massive overhaul, and a broad perspective on what it takes to build and manage a comprehensive privileged access solution, including account management, device management, intermediaries such as VPN's and interfaces such as Web and Cloud services.
